Artist Spotlight: AMKEN

AMKEN is a Greek heavy metal band that started their music career in 2011 because four men loved jamming out together. There have been some bumps in the road and many high points for this band meeting some amazing people and being able to visit some amazing places along their over a decade journey in the music industry. On their new album “ Passive Aggressive” the inspiration behind the album are social issues and things AMKEN experiences in their daily life. AMKEN thinks that being from Greece and living there has definitely impacted the music they make and the meaning behind their songs due to the many social issues in Greece. Some advice they have for a new artist would be to keep pushing and to always believe in yourself. In 2023 AMKEN will be doing a European tour in Spring of 2023 so if you want to see them live they might be coming to a city near you very soon.

Artist Spotlight: Kingpvz

Kingpvz is a Slovak Hardbass producer and is starting to add other elements to his music besides Hardbass. Some Hardbass artists that Kingpvz would like to credit with inspiring him to create music in the Hardbass genre are Alan Aztec, DJ Blyatman, HBKN, and Uamee. One of Kingpvz's biggest achievements was when Uamee commented on one of his songs that he made. Kingpvz has always been interested in music since he was a small child. His mom signed him up for a music theory class in the 2nd grade as well as signing him up for piano lessons. He played the piano for six years, winning many competitions and concerts. After his 6th year of playing the piano, he got annoyed by it and quit playing it for many years. Unknown. is an American rapper from Miami, Florida, he started rapping by freestyling for fun when he was around 12 to 13 years old. Once a video of him freestyling started circulating the school Unknown. started to take music and rapping more seriously. He released his first song in the summer of 9th grade and after that, he kept on releasing music but did not feel that the music he was releasing was truly him.
