Artist Spotlight: punkhoo


punkhoo is a Taiwanese consisting of three members BENN, Chicken, and TheySay and they describe their sound as a uniquely simple, stylish punk rock band that is full of enthusiasm that formed in 2003. With almost two decades in the music industry, all of their members have a wealth of experience in how the music industry works and have developed a fantastic catalog of songs throughout the years. One of their song called “ Coming Back Home” is about a baseball game because when you score in baseball you come to home plate to score a run but also it is about the unchanging minds and thought of every player. Some of the biggest musical influence that inspired them to get into the music industry was Blink-182, locofrank, and Hi-Standard. In 2023 punkhoo has so many amazing projects in the works releasing a new EP, as well as preparing for the 20th Anniversary show for punkhoo. BENN would like to thank his wife for always supporting his decisions and being by his side, Chicken would like to thank his wife Zih Jing because it is tough to support a husband especially if he is a musician and Zih Jing has done a fantastic job with that. TheySay would like to thank the other two members of punkhoo because they have done an outstanding job of staying in the music industry for 20 years which is hard to do and let him be a part of the band which was amazing because it was the first Taiwanese punk band he ever listened to at 17 years old and now he gets a chance to play music with them. 

Musical Corner would also like to take this time to congratulate BENN on finishing up his cancer treatment as well as wish him a speedy recovery!!!

Unknown. is an American rapper from Miami, Florida, he started rapping by freestyling for fun when he was around 12 to 13 years old. Once a video of him freestyling started circulating the school Unknown. started to take music and rapping more seriously. He released his first song in the summer of 9th grade and after that, he kept on releasing music but did not feel that the music he was releasing was truly him. In 2021 Unknown. started releasing more music and made it a goal of his to make music that people could enjoy as well as music he could enjoy listening to himself. Artist Spotlight: Kingpvz

Kingpvz is a Slovak Hardbass producer and is starting to add other elements to his music besides Hardbass. Some Hardbass artists that Kingpvz would like to credit with inspiring him to create music in the Hardbass genre are Alan Aztec, DJ Blyatman, HBKN, and Uamee. One of Kingpvz's biggest achievements was when Uamee commented on one of his songs that he made. Kingpvz has always been interested in music since he was a small child. His mom signed him up for a music theory class in the 2nd grade as well as signing him up for piano lessons. He played the piano for six years, winning many competitions and concerts. After his 6th year of playing the piano, he got annoyed by it and quit playing it for many years.
