Artist Spotlight: Toshka




Toshka is a lighthearted hip hop artist that’s 22 years old from South Africa. He started getting into music through his love of passion and the ability to create a music career independently. His biggest musical artists that have inspired Toshka to create music was the whole collective group 808rsising. He loved their music, merch, YouTube content and culture that they are putting out to the world. Toshka doesn't just think critically on his music he also thinks about his branding and visual design because he believes that it is a huge part to put an image to his music and making good cover art and designs can be present professionally. On his song “ Rainbow” is actually one of his least sentimental song and is the fourth most popular song on his spotify is based around a meme where a gangster tough guy is explaining the beauty of a rainbow and Toshka thought the idea was very creative and based this song off of the meme. You can actually hear the meme play in a part of the song if you listen closely. In 2023 Toshka has a full length album that will come out late 2023 or early 2024 so he wants to work on his craft and build himself up as an independent artist. He would like to thank his friends that have been really supportive of his music as well as everyone that has listened to his music and have supported him on his music journey.

Unknown. is an American rapper from Miami, Florida, he started rapping by freestyling for fun when he was around 12 to 13 years old. Once a video of him freestyling started circulating the school Unknown. started to take music and rapping more seriously. He released his first song in the summer of 9th grade and after that, he kept on releasing music but did not feel that the music he was releasing was truly him. Kingpvz is a Slovak Hardbass producer and is starting to add other elements to his music besides Hardbass. Some Hardbass artists that Kingpvz would like to credit with inspiring him to create music in the Hardbass genre are Alan Aztec, DJ Blyatman, HBKN, and Uamee. One of Kingpvz's biggest achievements was when Uamee commented on one of his songs that he made. Kingpvz has always been interested in music since he was a small child. His mom signed him up for a music theory class in the 2nd grade as well as signing him up for piano lessons. He played the piano for six years, winning many competitions and concerts.
